DJ Jes is a legendary figure in Chicago’s House music scene, with a career spanning over three decades. Born in Mexico and raised in Chicago’s Little Village, Jes was immersed in music from an early age. He began his journey in the mid-1980s and, by 1989, became a resident DJ at the iconic second Warehouse on Halsted and Randolph. That same year, he worked at DJ International Records under the mentorship of Benji Espinosa, deepening his knowledge across musical genres.

Known for his deep, soulful style and technical mastery, Jes has collaborated with some of the most respected names in the industry and continues to produce and remix under his label, Fresca Recordings. His third full-length album, Street Music LP, marks the label’s 49th release and showcases his enduring innovation in electronic music.
